Google Advertising

How does contextual advertising work?

Your keyword-targeted ads automatically begin appearing on relevant content sites, and on other products such as email programs and newsletters, in the Google Network. Google's advanced search technology scans the content and URL of a web page and automatically displays ads with keyword lists closely matching the subject of the page. You don't have to try to find the right content venue to display your ads. Google's advanced algorithm makes it easy by displaying your ads automatically for the most relevant content.

For example, if users view a web page about real estate, they may see AdWords ads for real estate products or services. Or, if users view a web page about hunting, they may see ads about equipment or weaponry.
